Note that there are few buses coming to Ciudad Universitaria, so we recommend that you find your lodging close to any of those buses. If in doubt contact Paula or ask the hotel/apartment about the distance to the bus stop.

1.1 How to get to Ciudad Universitaria?

Buses to Ciudad Universitaria are 33, 45, 37, 160, 42, and 107.

Bus tickets are bought on the bus (only with coins). The price of the ticket is AR$ 3 to 3,50 depending on the distance.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST HAVE COINS IN ORDER TO PAY FOR YOUR TICKET. TICKET MACHINES ONLY ACCEPT COINS.

2. Transportation from/to Ezeiza Airport (Ministro Pistarini):

Ezeiza International Airport is located at about 35 km from downtown Buenos Aires, outside the city. There is only one regular bus line from the airport and we do not advise to take it.

How to reach the Paname Hotel?

Bus Manuel Tienda Leon company (www.tiendaleon.com.ar)

Go to the Stand of Manuel Tienda Leon as soon as you leave the Customs Area.
Take a bus of Tienda Leon to Aeroparque (local airport in the city); they leave every hour.

The travel will take about one hour depending on the traffic.
Take a taxi from Aeroparque to the hotel.

Bus Cost: Pesos 75 (around USD 15)

The map aeroparque_paname_hotel.jpg will show you the way the taxi should take to reach the airport (red line). The blue area in the map is the city airport (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery). The big white area in front of Aeroparque is the river (you will see it across the avenue). Take a taxi (black and yellow cars), it will go along the avenue between the river and Aeroparque, as soon as the Aeroparque finishes, the taxi will turn right. It will follow the only way possible, cross the railway and go straight ahead. This is a very beautiful park area. In Santa Fe Avenue it will turn right again and will go straight on Santa Fe until the corner with Godoy Cruz where it will turn right. The hotel is about 30-50 meters from this corner on your right.

The clock in the taxi indicates the amount to be paid in pesos.

Another option to reach the hotels from Ezeiza Airport

Chauffeured cars, called “remis”: (maximum capacity: 4 passengers)

  • Manuel Tienda Leon (for reservations/information, please visit www.tiendaleon.com.ar ):
    Points of sale
    Terminal A > Arrivals > Public Sector.
    Terminal B > Arrivals > Public Sector.
Price: Pesos 295 (approx. USD 57) price checked on Apr 12.

  • There are several other companies. You will find all the booths as you go out from the Customs area and before you go out to the airport hall.

Important: for your own safety, do not contract transport services from free-lance drivers.
Prices in dollars may vary slightly according to the exchange rate

3. Exchange Rate

Dollars and euros can be exchanged at an approximate exchange rate of 5.10 pesos per dollar (Apr 12). There is an exchange office at the Ezeiza International Airport where you can buy pesos, however we do not recommend exchanging large amounts as the rate at the airport is lower than in the city. In addition, in Buenos Aires you can change dollars in many official exchange offices and banks. For information on exchange rates, visit http://www.dolarhoy.com/
