Lodging Information

A block of rooms has been reserved for the period of the workshop at the Hotel Plaza Naco, located in the very heart of the financial and commercial center of the city.

Room rates:
- Single standard  - US$102.40 per night
- Double standard - US$112.64 per night

This rate includes local taxes, breakfast buffet, internet access from the room and common areas, safe, and use of the gym.

Las Américas International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Las Américas) is located in Punta Caucedo, near Santo Domingo. Tourist information

Santo Domingo is the capital city of the Dominican Republic, located on the Caribbean Sea. It is known for being the first European settlement. It has a great historical and cultural heritage.

The Colonial Zone of the city has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because it has the first buildings of the new world created by the Spanish.

The city has a range of tourist and historic interest. The first buildings erected in America, as The Cathedral of America and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (first university in the New World) are preserved and still run to this day.

Walking through the Colonial Zone you can find buildings of great beauty. In Calle Las Damas, you can see the oldest colonial buildings in the area, including the Fortaleza Ozama, the Alcázar de Colón, the Hostal Nicolas de Ovando, the Museo de Las Casas Reales, Plaza of Spain. Additional points of interest include Museo del Ambar, Columbus Lighthouse, National Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Los Tres Ojos, Naval Shipyards Museum, Museum of the Dominican Man.
