I am an engineer at IRD, working within the French laboratory LEGOS, which specialises in oceanographic modelling and remote sensing. My activities focus on supporting and developing numerical simulations for research applications. Part of my role involves assisting researchers at LEGOS, as well as extending support to collaborators from southern countries, where model expertise can significantly benefit local studies and capacity building. In this context, I will present some results obtained with two widely used ocean model frameworks: NEMO and CROCO. NEMO (Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean) is a robust platform primarily designed for large-scale and regional oceanic applications, including climate studies and basin-scale dynamics
In this context, I will present some results obtained with two widely used ocean model frameworks: NEMO and CROCO. NEMO (Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean) is a robust platform primarily designed for large-scale and regional oceanic applications, including climate studies and basin-scale dynamics. CROCO (Coastal and Regional Ocean COmmunity model), on the other hand, has been developed for high-resolution regional and coastal simulations, making it particularly suited to complex nearshore environments.
