Grupo de estudios del clima regional de Sudamérica – CLIMAREG –
Este grupo fue creado a partir de la necesidad de planificar las estrategias para el abordaje de diversos aspectos del estudio del clima regional. Las líneas de investigación que se desarrollan actualmente en el Grupo incluyen: – Modelado del clima regional y su respuesta a forzantes antropogénicos; – Mecanismos asociados a la ocurrencia de eventos de precipitación extrema en SESA; – Estudio de la actividad frontal y su influencia en el clima regional; – Estudio de la interacción entre el mar y la atmósfera y su influencia en el clima regional – Impacto del cambio climático regional sobre el sector productivo en Argentina. Las actividades del grupo se enfocan fundamentalmente en actividades de investigación básica llevada a cabo en el marco de proyectos de investigación dirigidos por la Directora del grupo y por los investigadores que conforman el mismo.
